We get it. You don't always have time to read the whole story. So, we make a special TL;DR "story in photos" just for you! Matthew McNulty had the chance to hop in the driver's seat of Honda Powersports "factory" upgraded Talon 1000 equipped with a turbocharger courtesy of Jackson Racing (JR). While it takes a few tweaks to fit this new system into their trusty platform perfectly, the tuning from JR is so precise that the HRC team has been rocking it for years. And now consumers, like Mr. McNulty, have the chance to rip like a racecar driver (well, almost). He had a few good things to say in his comparison, but we'll spare you the deep insights and thoughtful opinions for a few anecdotes and pretty photos by Justin W. Coffey.

We call vehicles like this a "sleeper". It might look like your run of the mill UTV, but it'll give you a run for your money. Photo Credit: Justin W. Coffey, WESTx1000
A 60% increase on top of the 104 horsepower from the Talon’s power plant brings it to about 160 hp by pushing 8 Psi of boost through the motor. Photo Credit: Justin W. Coffey, WESTx1000
Honda offered a firm statement that adding this turbo kit will not void your factory warranty. (Bonus?) Photo Credit: Justin W. Coffey, WESTx1000

While the Talon is one of Matthew's favorite UTVs, its 104-horsepower output is outclassed by its competitors in the sport segment now. So, the turbocharger is a welcome addition. Photo Credit: Justin W. Coffey, WESTx1000
Power still felt shockingly linear, with virtually nonexistent lag from the Garrett turbo during sandy climbs. Photo Credit: Justin W. Coffey, WESTx1000

Leaving every other aspect of the Talon unchanged, the added power still made a big of a difference, feeling like an entirely new machine. Photo Credit: Justin W. Coffey, WESTx1000
While the base Talon struggled a bit to climb the sand cliffs, the Turbo Talon sailed uphill without breaking a sweat. Photo Credit: Justin W. Coffey, WESTx1000
An unforeseen benefit to horsepower is being able to reach the peaks and bask in the vastness of the world. Not bad... Photo Credit: Justin W. Coffey, WESTx1000
