Before side-by-sides (SxS) became recreational machines capable of taking on the gnarliest terrain and running across deserts at seemingly supersonic speeds, the Kawasaki Mule landed as a purposeful alternative to a tractor or golf cart. Decades later, the Mule continues to be the stalwart of work-focused UTVs, and the 2025 Kawasaki Mule Pro-FX 1000 HD continues to uphold that notion.

Returning for the 2025 model year, the Mule Pro-FX 1000 HD is what Kawasaki calls its "fastest Mule ever," thanks to an in-house-built 999cc liquid-cooled four-stroke parallel-twin engine. It also touts 10.9 inches of front suspension travel and 10 inches at the rear, while there's 11.9 inches of ground clearance for obstacle-clearing ability.

More important for the use the Mule will likely see, it boasts a strong slew of work-oriented kit. The three-passenger vehicle has a long, 1000-pound capacity cargo bed that features supplemental self-leveling rear suspension, which levels the vehicle when carrying a load that would otherwise cause squat at the rear of the vehicle. This should pay dividends in maintaining optimal handling and braking characteristics, which in turn benefits safety.

Pricing for the 2025 Kawasaki Mule Pro-FX 1000 HD ticks in at $16,799 and the vehicle is offered exclusively in Firecracker Red paint.
