onX Off-Road is a favorite company in the outdoor space and not just for their app and navigation services but for the good deeds they strive to put forth for off-road community. The Adventure Forever Grants program is one of these such efforts with a goal of supporting nonprofits, land trusts, trail associations, and more by helping to fund projects that may otherwise not be achievable. The application window to enter the second of 2024's grant periods is coming up soon; its window closes at midnight Mountain Time on Friday, August 16.

The Adventure Forever Grants program is now accepting applications to support projects that enhance public access, promote environmental stewardship and foster sustainable outdoor recreation. These grants are designed to fund initiatives focused on land acquisition and conservation, securing access routes, developing and restoring trails, and building a community of stewards.

Key areas of support include funding for land purchases that ensure public access and protect ecosystems, with provisions for long-term conservation agreements. The program also offers grants for acquiring easements or land to secure access to public lands or waterways, as well as for the creation of new trails that meet both social and environmental objectives. Additionally, the grants support programs that allow public access to private lands in ways that benefit both landowners and wildlife, and they provide funding for maintenance and restoration of overused or neglected trails, including clean-up efforts.

Moreover, the Adventure Forever Grants encourage initiatives that educate and inspire responsible outdoor recreation. Funding amounts typically range from $5,000 to $25,000 per project, tailored to specific site improvements rather than general operating costs. “Our team at onX takes great pride in helping keep the outdoors accessible for all types of outdoor recreation. Our Adventure Forever Grants have helped support keeping trail systems open and enjoyable across the country,” said Lisa Nichols, Senior Corporate Philanthropy and Advocacy Manager. “We take our role in responsible stewardship very seriously. Our efforts have aided in securing access to 155,000 acres for public recreation, as well as supporting trail building and maintenance of over 250 miles of trails. We support projects across all forms of motorized recreation, from 4x4 and motorcycle riding, all the way to snowmobiling.”

With the deadline to enter your cause into the Adventure Forever Grant program closing August 16th, onX will then pick its winners and announce its decisions by the end of October of this year.
