TL;DR | A "Novel" Experience in Secluded Superior, Montana

Classic American fiction is riddled with tales of the great outdoors; lone characters wandering into the wilderness seeking excitement, challenge, or, merely, themselves... (so deep). Our very own vagabond, Justin W. Coffey, rode across the country last year, making a pitstop at a friend's epic ranch in "Big Sky Country" to ride (Can-Am) Defenders, shoot trap, hang with horses, and do general sportsman stuff.

He wrote about his epic adventure not too long ago; maybe you missed it? Or, perhaps it was Too Long; Didn't Read, and you just didn't have the time to check out Justin's Five Days at Alpine Falls Ranch? Well, don't you worry! Because reading isn't the only way to consume a story... Feast your eyes on some photos and captions, courtesy of Justin, from his trip to Superior, Montana.

While Alpine Falls offers more than 800 acres to explore behind the wheel of a UTV, just beyond their fence is hundreds of miles of trails you can explore, almost endlessly. Photo Credit: WESTx1000
The Ranch has a wide array of accommodations available for travelers, however for those looking to spend their nights beneath the stars, Jason and the team will get you set up to camp in a secluded section of the property and offer everything from basic a tent to full-blown glamping. The Spring and Fall months might be the most beautiful in Montana, but a mid-Summer escape to the Big Sky state never disappoints, even if the temperatures called for the windshield on our Defender to stay open all day. Photo Credit: WESTx1000
The Bunkhouse and attached gym are a great place for parties of up to ten people to park themselves at Alpine Falls. There's a communal kitchen, bunkbeds and a massive living room where everyone can convene after a long day on the trail. Photo Credit: WESTx1000
We hired, Butch, a local fly fishing guide to show us the ropes, er, the reels. We spent an entire day over the ankle in a local creek hunting for trout, and even managed to grab a few before the sun finally set. Photo Credit: WESTx1000
Our fly fishing guide, Butch, grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and has called Montana home for nearly 30 years now. His knowledge of the surrounding area is a tremendous resource to anyone looking to explore the backcountry of western Montana. Photo Credit: WESTx1000
One of the more modest accommodations at Alpine Falls Ranch is this beautiful log cabin that can sleep two couples and even has an indoor sauna to sweat in after a long day. Photo Credit: WESTx1000
Alpine Falls Ranch has a world-class skeet shooting facility on the property, with two towers and a below ground bunker that'll throw clays for you. They also have an assortment of shotguns to shoot, or you can bring your own, of course. Photo Credit: WESTx1000
We cut Justin's father loose in the Defender HD10 so he could get a taste of the UTV life. Needless to say, he was stoked. Photo Credit: WESTx1000
What better way to explore the local creeks in search of Rainbow and Cutthroat trout than behind the wheel of an HD10! Photo Credit: WESTx1000
A variety of activities are available while you're camped out at Alpine Falls. Kyra took to the axe throwing like an old pro, and at one point was wielding two axes! Photo Credit: WESTx1000
The Six8 Saloon is an on-site space where cowpokes and side-by-side enthusiasts alike can mingle, watch the game, play some pool, enjoy a bourbon at the bar, or listen to Kyra play the two songs she still knows on the upright piano against the wall. Photo Credit: WESTx1000
