John Deere has announced the new Gator XUV 845 and Gator XUV 875 utility vehicles, bringing more refinement, power, and work-friendliness to the duo. John Deere has also equipped them with an improved cargo box, more convenience features, and preparation for precision ag tech.

Aimed squarely at farmers, John Deere "[...] worked with farmers across the U.S. and Canada to make this machine more versatile for all the work they do on the farm," said Eric Halfman, John Deere go-to-market manager for Gator utility vehicles. Key enhancements include a relocated air intake, elevated by 12 inches to better protect the engine, and a new CVT air intake and exhaust system designed to pull in cleaner air, shielding the system from debris, water, and mud.

Gator XUV 845 and XUV 875 utility vehicle HVAC models can also now be customized with a factory-installed GreenStar™ Ready option. This allows for the easy addition of a StarFire® receiver and universal display, complete with all necessary brackets and wiring. The inclusion of the JDLink® modem enables integration with the John Deere Operations Center™, facilitating tasks such as boundary mapping with data wirelessly transmitted to the Operations Center or the vehicle's cab. An integrated technology bracket offers improved control with less effort. The added switch bank includes AutoTrac™ resume, ISO implement connector on/off, and display on/off switches, providing better control of implements such as sprayers and displays.

Equally and in many cases even more important, the cargo box has been improved. It's now wider which results in a larger capacity and lower mud sling, has a 12V power port, and includes extra dividers to secure loose items. Owners can also add a second storage level. At the platform level, there are integrated tie-down points and D-rings, four stake pockets on each side, and an optional utility rack can be mounted quickly and easily.
